The Tuscarawas Society for Children and Adults was the proud recipient of the Twin City Chamber of Commerce's 2004 Organization of the Year Award at its annual awards banquet held last April.

With 150 people in attendance at the Knights of Columbus Hall at Dennison, Teri Edwards recognized the Rainbow Connection for its work in Tuscarawas County in 2004.

"A lot of people really only think about them at Telethon time…they also act as an informational resource. In 2004 the Rainbow Connection served 9,820 children and adults in Tuscarawas County. Your money stays right here in Tuscarawas County." said Teri Edwards, Twin City Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.

Accepting the award was Carmel Massone, Executive Director of The Rainbow Connection. "We wouldn't have had the telethon without your support. Have you seen the playground behind the Twin City Hospital Pediatric Wellness Center?"

Rainbow Connection board member Tim Tarulli says, "While this is quite a distinction for the Rainbow Connection, we won't rest on our laurels but will strive to redouble our efforts and work harder on fulfilling our mission of servicing children and adults in Tuscarawas County."
